A significant 62 acre mixed use development site.

The site comprises an existing foundry and associated golf course, it forms an urban extension to the south-east of Lydney adjacent to the A48 bypass, and is a strategic allocation consequential to a recent Local Plan review. MMC intends to develop upto 500 new homes, plus employment opportunities.

Enquiries are welcome from a full range of users: office, distribution, manufacturing, retail and leisure. A new urban community will be created, serving both the local residents and the A48 bypass.

Locality & Transport Links

Lydney is a provincial county town of Gloucestershire situated off the A48, approximately midway between Gloucester and Chepstow.

Principal road communications are the M48 some 8 miles to the south which links onto the M4 (London to Wales) and the M5 (Bristol to Birmingham).

The application site forms the southern-most part of the development area and is bound by Naas Lane to the north, A48 bypass to the east, premises of Federal Mogul (known as Foundry One) to the south, and the rear gardens of dwellings fronting Lakeside Avenue to the west.
